What your money can do

Your donation can help beat cancer

What your money can doBy donating to our pioneering work, you're helping to fund research into many different types of cancer.

Our work has saved millions of lives in the UK and across the world. Over the next decade we aim to save many more – but we need your help to make that possible.

We are entirely funded by donations from the public. So, whether you are creating a page in memory of a loved one, or donating to a page, your support will help us to beat cancer sooner.

How your money can help

There are more than 200 different types of cancer, each with different causes, symptoms and treatments. We’ve made some great progress over the years but there’s still so much to do.

Here are some examples of what your donation can do:

  • £10 could buy enough glass slides for a scientist to examine 300 tumour samples down a microscope.
  • £100 could equip four scientists with a lab coat and a pair of safety goggles. These help protect against harmful chemicals and prevent experiments from getting contaminated.
  • £500 could fund one cancer information nurse for four days. Our experienced cancer information nurses provide a confidential service for anyone with concerns about cancer.
  • £1,000 could cover the basic costs for ten women to take part in a clinical trial to improve survival for post-menopausal women with early-stage breast cancer.

By donating in memory you are creating a truly lasting tribute by helping to fund work that will help more people beat cancer in the future.

Donate to a page today and help us beat cancer.
