In memory of
Maureen Clow
10th Jun 1938 - 6th Sep 2012
Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer around Easter 2011. Through the rest of the summer she endured chemotherapy sessions. The doctors decided they should operate and after a mastectomy, mum went on to have radiotherapy. We were very excited and relieved when the doctors gave mum the all clear. Through the next 9 months, mum had nasty side effects in the form of leg ulcers, but also chronic back ache, confusion and loss of appetite. Unknown to us, these were all warnings that the cancer was back only this time spreading throughout her body. It was left undiagnosed, leading to her untimely death in September 2012. Mum had always been adamant she didnt want any fuss at her funeral, so according to her wishes, we requested no flowers from friends and family. We asked instead that anyone who wanted should donate to a favourite charity or cancer research. My sister Lorraine and I have created this page in mums memory so that anyone who wasnt able to make mums funeral would be able if they so desired to donate in the hopes that in the near future other families will not have to go through what we have done this year. We will always miss mum, her serene smile and her funny ways. Love you mum xxx
