In memory of

Lynsey Chipperfield

23rd Jul 1979 - 28th Nov 2010

My Story

Lynsey was diagnosed with bowel cancer in January 2010, she underwent surgery and chemotherapy and was given the all clear in August. After returning home holiday in September 2010 Lynsey had to have emergency surgery and decompression of her spine as a tumor had developed. Further tests revealed that her original cancer had spread quite rapidly with no chance of a cure. Throughout the whole experience Lynsey accepted what she had to endure through palliative care without question. She was brave, courageous and dignified throughout and never ever complained. She was an inspiration to those that loved and knew her and will never be forgotten. So that we can try and stop anyone else going through what Lynsey did, we thought that donations to Cancer Research UK in Lynsey's memory was appropriate and would help towards finding a cure for this terrible disease.
