Thank you for visiting the Donate in Memory page for Arthur Lees.

Arthur was my father, and passed away in April 2009 primarily from the effects of bladder cancer. This page is one of the ways that I am using to perpetuate his memory.

Making a donation and leaving a message on this page is a quick and simple way of both remembering Arthur, and supporting Cancer Research UK. Diagnosis for Arthur came too late to have any real effect on the outcome of the disease, but by making a donation (no matter how small) you can help improve cancer diagnosis and treatments in the future. If you cannot make a donation, then please do leave a message - your support is appreciated.

If you are a UK taxpayer you can add 25% to your donation at no extra cost to you by simply ticking the Gift Aid box when you donate.

"Arthur was not only my Father, he was my best friend, mentor, teacher........had he been born in a later age, he would without doubt gone on to achieve great things. As it was, he was one of the cleverest, astute people I have known. Self-taught, he had an incredible grasp of all things technical, and was also a superb craftsman with his hands. It's now two years since he passed away, and I still miss him so much. "

"We only knew Arthur for a short while but it was obvious he was a man of great abilities. It is a great shame that this illness, as we know, comes to so many and we applaud your effort in supporting such a great cause. Gail & I send you both our best wishes."
