This page has been set up in memory of our beloved mother, Pritpal Pahwa - known to many as Pal Aunty - who died from cancer on 12 April 2010. Today (28.6.2010) would have been her 72nd birthday. To say that she is missed by not only her immediate family but by all that knew her would be an understatement. Whilst there is nothing we can do to bring her back, we would like to raise awareness of cancer symptoms in other families, particularly in ethnic minorities. See attached articles:

Whilst cancer does not, of course, only affect ethnic minorities there is most definately a higher lack of awareness of symptons, neglect of health issues and taking of little or no exercise which contribute to the disease not being caught until in its later stages.
