John Bradly - "Bradders"
21 November 1934 - 16 June 2010
Thank you for coming to see our page for John Bradly.
It is with great sadness that we see such a gracious man pass away. He passed away peacefully in his sleep after a fierce but short battle against pancreatic cancer.
He was surrounded by family & friends through this difficult time.
A huge hole in the lives of anyone whom he touched (and there are many).
He gave boundlessly of his time, life, love and guidance to all who knew him, with his reward being simply their success.
We take great solace in the fact that he leaves behind some wonderful, funny, thoughtful, often colourful and full stories.
We would welcome your telling of these stories in your words and pictures on this site please - funny, sad, poinient and all.
He expressed a wish that if you wanted to send flowers, he would rather that you make a donation to Cancer Research UK (through this site or at the funeral). Or just make a donation anyway!
If you are a UK taxpayer you can add 25% to your donation at no extra cost to you by simply ticking the Gift Aid box when you donate.

"The tributes we have read and the words we have heard in memory of John and the way he has touched people leave us not only with sadness but also with comfort. We remember our lives together, holidays, cars, swimming, our boarding school, rotas, children, and, as his younger brother the understanding and esteem he had for me and later for my wife Margaret. Without a doubt a special chap and our thoughts and condolances go out to Evelyn and the family."

"When first introduced to John we were immediately drawn to his understanding heart, and eyes that twinkled with humour and wisdom. A man who cared deeply for family and friends and lived life to the fullest is the legacy that John leaves to us all. "

"It was through meeting John at the 1972 London Boat Show that Tom Neville and I bought a 505 and took up racing at Grafham Water SC. Bails joined in when she arrived in the UK the next year. We have fond memories of John as an enthusiastic sailor, great fleet captain and a true friend. Bill and Bails Ingram"

"It is so very sad that such a fabulous man has to leave but his strength, love and legacy will always be with you. His kindness and humour touched us all and these are the memories that will stay in our hearts. There is much to live up to in following in his footsteps ... and he will be watching over you, chuckling at the adventures and mishaps along that path. My deepest sympathies to you. I hope you find strength in each other as you cry and laugh together in celebration of John. "
